20/20 Sports With A.B. – Team USA At The Olympics, More Losses For Braves And GreenJackets
In today’s 20/20 Sports with A.B., he talks about Team USA dominating in the Olympics, the latest loss for the Braves, and another loss the GreenJackets.
Ashley Brown: Well, the Paris Olympics have concluded with Team USA dominant. They lead in total medals. They finish up with 126, China in second with 91. China did tie the Americans, though, in total gold medals with 40.
The U.S. women’s hoops team picked up their eighth consecutive gold. They survived a scare, though, from France, they win 67-66, in the gold medal game when Gabby Williams of France foot was on the line and what would have been the tying three-pointer instead, France comes up one point short.
In baseball, the Braves fall to the Rockies 9 to 8. Atlanta led that game 8 to 2 going into the bottom of the eighth, but the Rockies scored seven runs to get the win. Jorge Soler, the bright spot two home runs. He’s now homered four times in his last three games.
The Braves have lost six of seven. They’re at San Francisco tonight to take on the Giants, and the GreenJackets swept in a doubleheader at Charleston on Sunday. They’ve now lost 18 of 19. They’re off tomorrow hosting Fayetteville on Tuesday.
