20/20 Sports With A.B. – J.J. McCarthy Injury, Wins For The Braves And The GreenJackets, and More
In today’s 20/20 Sports with A.B., he talks about wins for the Atlanta Braves and the Augusta GreenJackets, along with an injury that will sideline J.J. McCarthy.
Ashley Brown: For the second straight night, the Braves beat the Giants in extra innings, winning in the 10th for a second consecutive game, 4 to 3, the final last night. Travis d’Arnaud who had the sac fly win in the previous game, also was the game winner in last night’s. He had an RBI single in the 10th. He also homered earlier in the game. The Braves and Giants again tonight out in San Fran at 9:45.
The GreenJackets also picked up a much-needed win. They had lost 17 of 18 coming in to last night, but they get a 5-4 win over Fayetteville at home. Those two back at it at SRP Park tonight at 7:05.
Bad news for the Minnesota Vikings, their first round draft pick, quarterback J.J. McCarthy looked good in their preseason game. 30 snaps. He had two touchdown passes, but it was revealed he had a torn meniscus in his right knee that will require surgery. So that means starting the season they’re starting quarterback will be Sam Darnold.
