20/20 Sports With A.B. – High School Football, Braves Beat The Angels, And The FedEx St. Jude Championship
In today’s 20/20 Sports with A.B., he talks about Friday night’s high school football games, the Atlanta Braves beating the Angels, and the winner of the FedEx St. Jude Championship in golf.
Ashley Brown: Well, the first Friday night of high school football is in the books. And boy, it was a wild one with a couple of huge games. Evans playing Thomson for the first time since 1987. The Knights get the upset at home, beating Thomson 35 to 28. And man, what a game between Greenbrier and Harlem to open the season. They go to overtime and Harlem wins it 38 to 37.
Also baseball, the Braves get a home run from, Ramon Laureano for the second straight game as they beat the Angels 3 to 1 on Sunday. The Braves finished their ten-game road trip six and four. They are seven back of the Phillies in the division, but two up on the Mets for a wild-card spot in the National League. The Braves are off today. They’ll host Philadelphia for a three game series beginning on Tuesday.
Also, Hideki Matsuyama is your winner at the FedEx Saint Jude Championship. He moves from eighth to third in the FedEx Cup points race. Xander Schauffele second and Viktor Hovland third, and Scottie Scheffler came in fourth in that event.
