20/20 Sports With A.B. – College Football And Preseason NFL

In today’s 20/20 Sports with A.B., he talks about the upcoming college football season, NFL preseason games, plus the latest Braves and GreenJackets games.

Ashley Brown: Well, we’re just two days away from the start of the college football season. The big matchup between Florida State ranked 10th in the country and Georgia Tech. They play in Dublin, Ireland on Saturday to kick off the college football campaign.

We’ve also got NFL action tonight preseason games Indianapolis at Cincinnati and Kansas City hosting Chicago. Also, former Auburn and Oregon quarterback Bo Nix has been named the starting quarterback for Denver by Sean Payton, their head coach. He’s the first Bronco quarterback to start the season opener for, as a rookie for Denver since John Elway back in 1983.

In baseball action, the Braves fall last night to the Phillies 3 to 2. The rubber match of that series. Game three between Philadelphia and Atlanta, 7:08 tonight at Truist Park. And the GreenJackets have dropped three straight. They fall to Carolina 9 to 4 last night. They’re back at Carolina tonight. First pitch at 6:30.

Ashley Brown, or A.B. as he’s known, is a sports commentator, columnist, and broadcast veteran. He was born and raised in the Augusta area. A.B. attended Lakeside High School and graduated in 1989. After high school, he attended Columbus State University on a basketball scholarship.

A.B. moved back to Augusta after college, where he began his career in talk radio. He continues to provide sports updates for WGAC, while also working as the Director of Customer Service at recteq.
