Apple Juice Recalled At Walmart Stores In Multiple States Including Georgia And South Carolina
Apple juice purchased at Walmart stores in 25 states, including Georgia and South Carolina, is being recalled due to reports of elevated inorganic arsenic levels.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration initially announced the voluntary recall of over 9.500 cases of Great Value brand apple juice six-packs in 8-ounce bottles from the manufacturer, Refresco Beverages U Inc., on August 15.
The recall got a more urgent classification August 23, saying the affected product may cause temporary adverse health consequences, but is not likely to cause serious or irreversible medical issues.
