Wellstar Children’s Hospital of Georgia renovation closes lobby until 2025

Wellstar MCG Health announced that the lobby, main entrance, traffic circle and first-floor elevators at Wellstar Children’s Hospital of Georgia will be closed through Spring 2025, effective immediately. 

The closures are due to an extensive lobby renovation project. 

Early renderings of the renovated space show a colorful mobile inspired by the work of artist Alexander Calder hanging above a bright and open space that takes advantage of the building’s distinctive wall of windows.  

Patients, families, and visitors are asked to park in Medical Parking Deck 2 on Harper Street and enter the facility at Wellstar Health Medical Center F, located near the emergency room on Harper Street. Elevators located at the F entrance will allow access to the second floor and the Children’s Hospital elevators. 

Pharmacy pickup at the Children’s Hospital parking deck and access to Chick-fil-A will remain open and accessible.
