Deans Bridge Road Accident Claims Augusta Man’s Life
DEADLY CRASH ON DEANS BRIDGE ROAD
A Deans Bridge Road accident Saturday night claimed an Augusta man’s life and left four others injured.
The single vehicle accident was reported at 9 pm in the 4400 block of Deans Bridge Road.
The driver, 46-year-old Antonio Jenkins of Augusta, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene at 10:44 pm, according to Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen.
Deans Bridge Road Southbound Lanes Shut Down After Accident
Authorities said Jenkins lost control of the vehicle while headed south on Deans Bridge Road. The vehicle veered off the road and rolled over.
Four passengers in the vehicle were taken to Wellstar MCG, but their conditions were not known.
