UGA Football Has Arrived At Sanford Stadium, And So Has Beer
UGA football fans! The first home game between the hedges at Sanford Stadium in Athens will be this Saturday.
The Bulldogs play Tennessee Tech with kickoff set for 2:00 pm.
For those who love to tailgate, but wish they could still enjoy a cold one during the game, wish no more.
Starting Saturday, public alcohol sales will be allowed in the stadium for the first time
UGA Football Beer Sales at Home Games
It goes without saying, you must be at least 21 to purchase a beer in the stadium.
There will be 59 locations and 162 registers within the stadium. You’ll even be able to make a purchase on the Gillis Bridge, Reed Plaza, at Gate 7, two large tents for sales below the bridge and two areas on the bridge as well.
Keep in mind, there will be no vendors selling beer up and down the aisles in the stadium, so don’t wait for them to come around. If you want a beer, you’ll have to go get it.
What Can You Buy and How Much Will it Cost?
- Domestic Beers: $10 for 16 ounces. Miller Lite, Coors Light and Michelob Ultra
- Premium beers/malt beverages: $11 for 16 ounces: High Noon, Modelo, Twisted Tea
- Specialty beers/seltzer: $12 for 19 ounces: Tropicalla, Classic City Lager, Sip’em Seltzer.
