Wilkes County Man Wanted for Questioning in Triple Murder Is In Custody
A Wilkes County man who was wanted for questioning in the deaths of three people found in a home Thursday in Tignall is now in custody.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says Wilkes County deputies were first called to a report of an injured woman at a home in the 900 block of Mallorysville Road around 8:30 am.
The victim told deputies she was injured at another home down the street.
During a search of that home, three bodies were found.
Wilkes County Man No Longer On The Run
On Thursday afternoon, the GBI announced they were looking for 56-year-old Shannon Box in connection with the woman’s injuries. They said he was wanted on one count of Aggravated Assault. He was also wanted for questioning in connection with the three deaths.
The victim’s identities have not been released pending notification of family members.
The Wilkes County Coroner’s Office says the three victims were killed by assault, the specific cause and manner of death has not been released.
