Agencies Assist With Free Clothing, Diapers and Formula In Separate Giveaways Here
Agencies in the Augusta area are helping the community with free diapers, formula and clothing for those in need during separate giveaways this month in Columbia and Richmond Counties.
Columbia County Community Connections along with the East Central Health District, Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities and the Alzheimer’s Association will have free diapers, for babies and seniors, this Friday, February 7.
Agencies Assist With Free Diapers in Columbia County
The free diaper distribution will be held at the Columbia County Health Department at 1930 William Few Parkway in Grovetown.
The distribution will be held from noon until 1:00 p.m.
Diapers will be available in a variety of sizes, while supplies last. Those sizes include:
- Baby (Newborn to size 5)
- Adult Incontinence items
- Baby wipes
Free Formula Giveaway February 11
The Augusta Partnership for Children, Inc./Family Connection is sponsoring a baby formula giveaway on Tuesday, February 11, at 435 Telfair Street in Augusta
The event will be held from 9:00 a.m. until noon.
Formulas that will be available include:
- Enfamil Plant-based
- Enfamil Gentlease
- Similac Alimentum
- Pediasure Grow & Gain with Immune Support
- Pediasure Enteral Formula with fiber
- Similac 360 Total Care
- Similac PM 60/60
- Similac Sensitive
There will be a limit of 4 cans per child, while supplies last.
To participate in the giveaway, you must be a Georgia resident and you must pre-register online at www.augustapartnership.org/milkdrive.
Take What You Need Day This Friday
Catholic Social Services Thrift Store is hosting a “Take What You Need Day” this Friday, February 7 at the store at 3229 Wrightsboro Road in Augusta.
There will be racks and bins of free men’s, women’s and children’s clothing on the patio from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. or until they run out.
Take what you need, but keep in mind there will be a limit of 15 pieces of clothing per adult.
Need A Tarp?
For those who might still need a tarp following Hurricane Helene, there are some still available through the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
They’re available free of charge at the Hub for Community Innovation, 631 Chafee Avenue in Augusta, through this Friday, February 7.
