A huge makeover of downtown Augusta has local business owners worried about how customers will reach their shops and where they'll park.
Business owners along Broad Street worry their sales will drop. Small family businesses could be hit hardest when construction blocks off sidewalks and store entrances.
“It’s an ongoing concern. It’s determent, it is. People having the timing to park and come do what they have to do,” Michael Balducci of 440 Instruments told News Channel 6.
Store owners have contacted city officials, seeking solutions to keep their businesses running. The construction especially affects streets lined with local shops and restaurants.
