An American Airlines flight that arrived in Augusta this morning from Charlotte Douglas International Airport was evacuated when the plane touched down.

As the plane landed, crew members reported a haze inside the aircraft.

Passengers and crew members were immediately evacuated from the plane.

Officials at Augusta Regional Airport confirmed that everyone was safe. No injuries were reported.

The American Airlines flight was scheduled to leave Augusta again at 11:00 a.m. but was cancelled instead. A subsequent flight to Charlotte was scheduled at 2:10 p.m.

Airport officials said it should be the only flight affected.
