Davidson Fine Arts Magnet School senior Amarri Robinson won a $40,000 scholarship from Amazon's Future Engineer program. The Augusta student also secured a paid internship offer with the tech giant, joining 28 other Georgia winners.

The award supports students aiming for undergraduate degrees in computer science or engineering. More than 400 students nationwide earned this opportunity in the current round.

After their first year in college, winners can start their Amazon internship. They'll team up with skilled mentors who guide them through their first steps in tech.

To pick winners, judges weighed grades, community service, past jobs, and financial needs. The team at Scholarship America helped sort through applications to find the best fits.
