Megyn Bolen will make history at Aiken Technical College on May 6. At just 13, she'll become the school's youngest graduate when she receives her Associate in Science degree.

"I am not a prodigy," said Bolen to the Aiken Standard.

She took two semesters, with six courses each, ranging from complex anatomy studies to advanced chemistry. Her schedule also included calculus and Statistics work.

Megyn has been homeschooled since she was 6. By 9, she tackled high school work. When she turned 10, she jumped into college classes through a special program.

Her mom Amber, skilled in physics and HR, crafted her study path. "We're both lifelong learners," she shared, speaking of herself and Megyn's dad, Henry, who manages environmental safety.

The path wasn't smooth. Her young age meant extra paperwork for aid. Home education made getting state money harder than usual.

Outside class, she stays active. She's close to earning a black belt, plays sports, and fills her days with music. You'll find her singing at two churches and acting on local stages.

Megyn plans to take online classes at Lander University for public health, mixed with business classes. She'll squeeze in extra physics work through Oregon State this summer.
