Three Georgia cities made their mark on Livability's 2025 Top 100 Best Places to Live list. The study sized up thousands of cities nationwide, weighing factors from job markets to school quality.

Among the winners, Roswell topped the Georgia list with 838 points. Athens followed at 646, while Augusta scored 633. These marks came from a mix of city features — from parks to public transit, safety stats to medical care.

Per Livability, "Southern charm meets sports in Augusta. This sweet Georgia city has mastered being a great place to live with affordable housing, excellent schools, and beautiful parks along the Savannah River."

At 201,970 strong, Augusta stands out with its budget-friendly homes. A typical house runs about $163,376. The city wins praise for its riverfront green spaces and the yearly Masters golf spectacle.

Athens has a population of 129,386 and a rich mix of art and music. Houses in this college town cost around $258,778. Old buildings line the streets, while top schools draw families in droves.

Near Atlanta sits Roswell, where houses go for $485,018. Its 88,964 people enjoy top-notch schools and sprawling parks. City perks sit just an hour away, making it perfect for those who want both quiet streets and big-city fun.

Big cities and small towns alike got their shot at the rankings. Each spot earned its place through strong jobs, fair prices, and solid public services. Thousands of facts and figures went into picking the winners.

This marks another year in Livability's decade-plus tradition of city rankings. Want more details? Check their site for the full list and deep dives into what makes each city shine.
