Starting in the 2025-26 school year, Augusta University's golf programs will join the West Coast Conference. Both men's and women's teams will switch from the Southland Conference as new affiliate members.
"This is a great day for Augusta Golf," said Ryan Erlacher, Augusta University's director of athletics, according to Golf Digest. "The West Coast Conference has an excellent reputation and will provide a wonderful new home for our golf programs."
The men's team won back-to-back NCAA titles in 2010 and 2011. After winning three straight Southland titles from 2023-2025, they placed 28th at nationals.
The women's team made the 2023 NCAA Championships and qualified for regionals 11 times since 2006. Standout Zoe Pinillos claimed the 2025 Southland crown before advancing to NCAA Regionals.
"We are excited to welcome Augusta to the West Coast Conference," said WCC Commissioner Stu Jackson per WCCSports.com. "The Jaguars have captured conference titles and are regular competitors in the NCAA postseason."
West Coast Conference golf shows strength at the national level. Their men's teams have reached NCAA Regionals for 10 straight years.
