The Atlanta Falcons and Minnesota Vikings will face off on Sunday, Sept. 14, at U.S. Bank Stadium in a game on the NFL Week 2 schedule. The answer to the question of which team will win depends on who you ask and which source you consult.

The Vikings are a -4.5-point favorite over the Falcons in NFL Week 2 odds for the game, according to BetMGM SportsbookBetting odds favor the Vikings with a total of 45.5 points, and a moneyline of -210, whereas the Falcons are at +170.

The game will feature second-year quarterbacks Michael Penix Jr. for Atlanta and J.J. McCarthy for Minnesota, with McCarthy making only his second career start.

Penix showed resilience in Week 1, leading a late touchdown drive and performing well under pressure. Penix's prowess could be crucial against the Vikings' aggressive defense. Atlanta lost their Week 1 game 23-20 to Tampa Bay, with wide receiver Drake London considered day-to-day due to a sprain.

The Vikings, under the leadership of Kevin O'Connell, finished last season with a 14-3 record. Rookie quarterback McCarthy's performance is considered a key part of the Vikings' storyline.

ESPN gives the Falcons a 36.5% chance of winning the NFL's Week 2 game. Writing for Sportsnaut, Matt Johnson said, "If the Atlanta Falcons are going to beat the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday Night Football, it will be thanks to Bijan Robinson. Minnesota did a good job limiting him in their matchup last season (101 scrimmage yards on 24 touches)."

The game will be broadcast on NBC and streamed on Peacock.
