StandardAero announced it has expanded its maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facilities at Augusta Regional Airport.

A grand opening on Thursday, Aug. 28, was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by company officials, local government representatives, customers, and employees.

The expansion increases the StandardAero campus size by 60%, adding 80,500 square feet of hangar, engine shop, avionics, and customer amenities. Additionally, 100 new technically skilled jobs are being created as a result of the expansion.

“Today marks a major milestone for StandardAero and for our customers,” said Russell Ford, chairman and chief executive of StandardAero, in a StandardAero press release. “We're growing to meet the needs of our customers, investing in our people, and building on our reputation for industry-leading quality and service.”

A new engine shop dedicated to the Honeywell HTF7000 engine MRO is expected to be fully operational by the first half of 2026, with active hiring underway to support the facility's needs. StandardAero serves as the exclusive independent heavy overhaul provider by the OEM and supports airframe services capabilities for large cabin business jets.

Established in 1974, StandardAero's Augusta site offers maintenance and repair support for business aviation aircraft from manufacturers such as Bombardier, Dassault Falcon, Embraer, Gulfstream, and Hawker, including engines such as Honeywell HTF7000, TFE731, and GTCP36 APU.

StandardAero employs approximately 175 people at Augusta and approximately 7,700 worldwide.
