At Children's Place Inc. in Aiken, kids now have a new nine-hole putting green in their play area. This marks the final touch on a $500,000 outdoor space, made real by the Kevin and Brittany Kisner Foundation.

On Oct. 16, 2025, Kevin Kisner stepped onto the green at the 16,000-square-foot site to test it out. "I think it's great for learning motor skills, interaction, playtime. It's just something for the kids to do, and they have so much learning they can do outside," said Kisner, according to The Post and Courier.

After 55 years in an old church, the center moved to its new spot in November 2024. The site works with the South Carolina Department of Social Services to give kids care, talks with counselors, and help for their families.

"This green at Children's Place is obviously for sports and getting kids into a sport that they probably don't have a lot of access to at a young age. We are going to introduce this sport to them at the Children's Place, and I think it's a great activity for them," Kisner said per WRDW.

Starting in January 2026, kids ages 5-12 can putt on the green. When not in use by Children's Place, the staff wants to open it up to others.

"We really want this to be something that the entire community can have a part of," Ford said. Old Barnwell Golf Club joined with Celebrity Greens to bring this project to life.
