The Salvation Army of Aiken recently received a great donation to help with key programs for the community. The Savannah River Mission Completion donated $5,000 to support various programs assisting families.

News 12 26 Augusta reports that the funds will assist with food programs and emergency assistance services. These will help provide resources to members of the community.

Savannah River Mission Completion President and Program Manager Dr. Thomas Burns Jr. says, "SRMC’s partnership with the Salvation Army is vital in our efforts to support those facing hardship in our community."

The Salvation Army's demand increases during the holiday season, so funds donated will be able to go towards helping many this season.
