North Augusta and Grovetown both made MoneyLion's top 20 list. The consumer finance company studied the 50 cheapest and safest places across America. North Augusta came in at No. 13, while Grovetown came in at No. 19.

According to MoneyLion, Living in North Augusta costs about $40,249 per year, while households there bring in around $90,132. The town scored 69 for livability and is a very safe area as told by the low crime numbers. Violent crimes are 0.341 per 100,000 people, and property crimes are 4.094 per 100,000.

North Augusta got an A+ from Areavibes for what things cost and for housing, but failed when it came to getting around town and what there is to do.

Grovetown costs $44,124 a year to live there, with households bringing in $72,612. The Georgia town scored 72 for livability and, like North Augusta, has a very low crime rate. Grovetown's violent crime rate is 0.55 per 100,000. Property crime comes in at 1.981 per 100,000.

Grovetown earned an A+ from Areavibes in three areas: living costs, crime, and housing. But just like North Augusta, it flopped with an F in commute and things to do.

The top 10 cheapest and safest cities are located in the Midwest or Northeast. Poplar Bluff, Missouri, grabbed first place with an annual cost of living of $32,941.
