Goodwill Converts Augusta Location to Donation Center, Plans New Retail Store for 2026
The Wrightsboro Road Goodwill will transition into a drop-off only location.

Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA transformed its Wrightsboro Road retail spot into a drop-off site. The group intends to open a new retail outlet in the Wrightsboro area in 2026.
The Wrightsboro Road address will keep running as a drop-off point. Customers can browse other nearby shops while construction happens on the incoming store.
"This transition allows us to continue serving the community while we prepare for what's next," said Jennifer Tyner, Vice President of Marketing and Development, per Augusta CEO.
Money from drop-offs and sales powers programs offering job instruction, learning opportunities, and work-related services to more than 10,000 individuals annually throughout Middle Georgia and the CSRA. The group operates Helms College, the only college backed by a Goodwill operation.
"At its heart, Goodwill is about people," Tyner said. "Every donation represents opportunity, and we're grateful for this community's continued support as we look ahead to what's next."
Residents can keep dropping off contributions at the Wrightsboro Road address. The site will accept items that support the mission while blueprints for the new retail shop are finalized.
