The site sits across from where General Woods Parkway enters Riverwood Plantation in Evans. Each lot will average around 9,200 square feet.
Pollard Land Co. Inc. owns the property, which makes up part of a 600-acre tract. Developers plan a 40-foot buffer between Knollwood and Windmill Plantation.
The property has changed many times since 2005, when it first got zoning approval. In 2021, officials approved a concept plan for 168 lots under the name The Woodlands at Riverwood. By 2022, the project became Knollwood. Now the plan calls for 189 homes.
Several established neighborhoods already exist nearby. Riverwood Plantation sits directly across from the site, accessible through General Woods Parkway.
