The restaurant will host a golf simulator contest where anyone who makes a hole-in-one wins free food for a year. Grand opening weekend will feature golf-themed activities at 1102 Trust Ave., just off Wheeler Road across from the Augusta Exchange shopping center.
The chain serves chicken tenders, sliders, bites, and sandwiches. Dave's also sells fries, mac and cheese, and mozzarella planks, which are thick sticks of breaded cheese that crunch when you bite them. A cauliflower-based "Not Chicken" option exists for those seeking an alternative to poultry.
Frozen drinks called Slushers are available. Shakes topped with candy bits round out the drink menu.
Each location features murals showcasing the local community. The Augusta spot will show stylized renderings of golf themes, with large murals by the front and side doors depicting golfers celebrating shots.
Assistant manager Keith Henderson is hiring for 100 positions before the opening. He works as a personal chef in the area and joined one of the fastest-growing restaurant chains in the country.
"This is an amazing group to work with," Henderson said of Dave's Hot Chicken, according to Golfweek.
The chain has more than 390 locations across the country, including spots in Anderson and Columbia in South Carolina. This new spot marks another expansion for the growing brand.
Hours will run from 10:30 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday. Friday and Saturday hours stretch from 10:30 a.m. to 1 a.m.
