Leo Parsons and his wife have gathered over 75 new or gently used pairs of shoes this month. They're collecting for Compass for Hope, a nonprofit that serves people in need every Sunday in downtown Augusta. The drive continues to accept footwear of all sizes at CSRA Camperland.

Compass for Hope operates weekly, providing hot breakfast, showers, and basic necessities. The organization runs its services every Sunday without fail.

"There's some things those of us take for granted like taking a shower, having clean clothes," said Parsons, per WRDW. "Compass for Hope is there no matter what, every Sunday supplying those essential needs. I know my life is not perfect and I have needed help. We just all need to remember we are not sure what day our cards may fall and where can we help."

CSRA Camperland accepts shoe donations on any day except Sunday and Wednesday, keeping the drop-off location open for contributions throughout the month.

Anyone wanting to contribute can bring shoes in any size to the collection site. New pairs work. Gently used pairs work too.
