Augusta University Sets Record With $629K Raised During Annual Giving Day

The seventh annual Augusta Gives breaks the record for most donors reached in the event’s history.

Augusta University pulled in $629,308 from over 1,100 donors on March 18 during its seventh annual day of giving. Both figures shattered past records.

"Augusta Gives is about investing in a university that, in turn, invests deeply in its community," said AU President Russell T. Keen, per Jagwire. "The impact of Augusta University extends far beyond our campus. We are an economic engine that transforms the lives of our students and strengthens the region we proudly serve."

Students topped participation with 293 gifts. Faculty and staff contributed 295 donations, while alumni made 288 gifts.

Over 125 students joined through the 2026 Homecoming Court coin wars, lawn parties, and power hour events. Jeff Snow, executive vice president of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement, and his wife, Mia Alexander-Snow, offered a matching gift for student donations up to $2,000.

"I am truly moved to see our community's dedication to Augusta University in action," said Snow to Jagwire. "The excitement of our Augusta Gives power hours and student‑led events, combined with the unwavering support of our alumni, community partners, faculty, and staff, showcases the very best of who we are and what we can accomplish in just one day."

The Athletics Power Hour attracted 164 donors. That was the biggest turnout during any power hour segment. Power hours awarded $1,200 bonuses to initiatives or areas that secured the most donors during set time blocks.

Kelly Schulte, director of Annual Giving, said the event zeroed in on participation instead of just dollar amounts. Community engagement played a huge role in pulling people together to work towards a collective mission.
