Columbia County School District investigating inappropriate relationship reports at Evans
The Columbia County School District sent out a press release on Monday, January 27 stating that it is investigating reports of an inappropriate relationship between a former Evans High School student and an employee.
WGAC radio personality Austin Rhodes is reporting that the employee in question is head football coach Barrett Davis.
According to the press release, the employee in question has been placed on administrative leave.
“Safety of students and staff is a top priority and the CCSD does not condone, nor does it tolerate inappropriate relationships,” said Evans High School principal Wade White in the press release. “In an effort to keep you informed, we felt it was best to notify our parents of the ongoing investigation.”
The release went on to urge reporting any suspicious behavior to a school administrator or by calling district’s anonymous tip hotline at 706-541-3600.
